Those who are well travelled will tell you, "if you are going abroad, choose your travel companions wisely". Psychotherapy is truly a journey through the mind with the destination being a better personal place in one's life. Therefore, choosing your therapist is much like choosing a travel companion ... it defines the experience that you have on your journey. Thank you in advance for considering me.
It has been my privilege to work with many individuals over the years who have allowed me to guide them in their own journeys towards mental health and wellness. Each journey is different and therefore individualized therapy is key. My approach is integrative while blending various types of psychotherapies that are based on the needs of the person, the reason you have chosen to enter into therapy, and empirically sound treatment methods. Most importantly though, my experience has informed me that it is oftentimes the strength of the therapeutic relationship itself that creates the greatest change.
Since 2002, I have treated a wide array of clinical conditions. I hold a particular interest in working with "treatment refractory cases" when all other treatment options have been exhausted with regards to couples issues, eating disorders, and trauma cases. Please see my services page for details.
